{"Fen" – "болото, топь".} Роханское название: болотистая пограничная земля возле Mering Stream (см. карту в III томе), которая образует границу между Rohan и Anórien. Эту местность следовало бы назвать Fenmark, но, поскольку она упоминается в [V.3] и нанесена на карту в той же книге, я оставил все, как есть; значение слова "-mark" или его французского варианта (германского происхождения) "marche", то же самое: граница, пограничная земля. В переводе должно быть использовано Fenmark, так как это роханское слово.
